RENOVATION OF
THE OSHIRO RESIDENCE
HONOLULU
The designer rejoiced in the distinctive character of the existing details within this historic residence. Original design vocabulary was used to tie in the altered and original spaces seamlessly to the untrained eye, per the Secretary of Interiors criteria. Details were created to become simplified versions. The new ceiling coffers were very similar but slightly simplified to trick the discerning eye.
